Overview
HourOverlap (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates houroverlap.com, a group availability scheduling tool. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.
Information We Collect
- Account information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password (or, if you sign in with Google, your Google account email and profile information).
- Event data: Event titles, descriptions, locations, date ranges, and availability selections you create or submit.
- Respondent names: When submitting availability without an account, you provide a display name. This name is visible to the event creator and other respondents on the results page.
- Cookies: We store a small cookie on your device after you submit availability. This allows you to return to an event and edit your response without logging in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.
- Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the site (pages visited, session duration, device type, approximate location). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
- To operate the scheduling service and display results to event participants.
- To authenticate your account and maintain your session.
- To allow you to return and edit your availability submission.
- To understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
